Spiritual Direction

What is Spiritual Direction?

Spiritual Direction is a place to explore the invitation towards flourishing in one’s life, relationships, vocation, and way-of-being in the world.  It is a gentle space where we listen together and follow the thread of Inner Wisdom, the Inner Teacher and the Sacred. A place to hold reverence for the psyche, soul and body.

A spiritual direction session can look different depending on the person and the session. The goal is simply to meet the needs of the individual.  A session may look like: contemplative quiet, processing of feelings, somatic awareness, grief support, and/or curiosity about intuition and dreams.

The direction container I hold is not about a certain faith tradition, but is about simply being open, curious, and softening the rough edges, the habituated patterns that are derailing one’s life. It is about how to engage and develop the inner tools needed for overall well-being in one’s life.

Spiritual direction can take place either in-person or virtually.

“Having compassion starts and ends with having compassion for all those unwanted parts of ourselves. The healing comes from letting there be room for all of this to happen: room for grief, for relief, for misery, for joy.”
